Greatest Blessing to You All at the Qingming Festival

The Qingming or Ching Ming Festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day in English, is a traditional Chinese festival on the first day of the fifth solar term of the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar. Rcstars is welcoming the 2016 Qingmning Festival and will have a 2-day holiday from April 2nd to 3rd, 2016.

The festival originated from a memorial ceremony held by the ancient emperors and then followed by the people folk to sweep tombs and offer sacrifices. 

Then later generations inherited the ceremony and gradually became the Chinese Traditional Festival.

And now the Qingming Festival is an opportunity for celebrants to remember and honour their ancestors at grave sites. And more on Oingming, people go on family outings, start the spring ploughing, sing, and dance. Another popular thing to do is to fly kites in the shapes of animals or characters from Chinese operaAnother common practice is to carry flowers instead of burning paper, incense, or firecrackers.
